ART CLUB

The Pound Ridge Art Club (PRAC) is a platform for thoughtful collaboration in our neighborhood. Whether it be weekly afternoon classes for children under 12, a figure drawing studio, or an occasional MOTH-inspired evening for adults, we hope that the Art Club will be an asset for the whole community. While we will offer step-by-step instruction, PRAC is not a "school" and there will be no judgement. It is our sincerest hope to provide a platform for creation, artistic encounters, positivity, and constructive criticism for those who desire it.

We have ONE Children's class on Tuesdays for now and we are considering adding a class on Saturday or Sunday depending on demand. We have just added a class for adults on February 15th at 7:30 pm. The class will cover figure drawing with a model.

About Jenn Jenn is a longtime local resident who loves art and dreamed of seeing a community space where people could come together for the simple sake of being more creative. Since studying Studio Art in college and at the Art Student's League of Manhattan, she has continued to paint as a hobby for over 20 years in between working as a bicycle tour guide in France and a professional equestrian in the USA. She loves people and has taught innumerable riding lessons and facilitated several horse camps for children over the years, giving her the experience and unique attitude necessary for teaching youngsters essential skills in a fun and safe environment. During this time where budget cuts threaten art programming in schools, social interactions are frequently virtual, and most adults' main form of expression comes through a keyboard, Jenn is inspired to provide a platform for face to face interaction and organic creation.
