Gallery Note
A masterclass in Novoa’s signature decorative style, Noah's Ark utilizes striking, stylized golden sunbeams and rich emerald tones to depict a whimsical gathering of wildlife. Novoa’s animals are famously characterized not by raw ferocity, but by a gentle, sophisticated humanization—a trait that deeply charmed high-society collectors of the time.
Crucially, the reverse of this frame bears a warm, personal dedication from Novoa to Nikki and Jonathan (Marder). Within this retrospective, the inscription transforms a beautiful lithograph into a deeply personal archival document, standing as a physical marker of the mutual respect, creative camaraderie, and shared spaces between Novoa and Haskell.
